Kicking Around Ideas About Classroom Technology at MyClassHQ
Posted by Kenny on January 29th, 2012
Today’s an exciting day because it’s the day we’re kicking off the MyClassHQ Classroom Technology Blog. We want to write about some of the technology-related ideas we think up or hear about that can be used for the classroom.
So what’s MyClassHQ all about?
A few years ago when Katie, an elementary school teacher, told Kenny, a professional software engineer, how difficult it was for her to set up a website for her classroom. She wanted to post handouts, announcements and homework for her students, but had no idea where to start!
They soon found out that there really isn’t an easy way for someone non-technical (like many teachers) to get started with a website of there own! The options that did exist out there were difficult to use, dated, or both.
So they worked together and soon MyClassHQ was born — An easy to use website builder for teachers. Get up and running in 5 minutes.
But bringing technology in the classroom doesn’t stop at having a website. There are many fantastic ideas for any classroom incorporating things like YouTube, Skype, Smart Boards, Google Earth, and more. Going forward, we’ll be posting ideas that you can use in your own classroom, like Katie.
